This diet plan is mainly used by people to reduce their weight and control high blood sugar. Keto/LCHF Diet means we are consuming LOW carbohydrate and HIGH fat foods,as indicated by it’s name.Basically in our body we are using carbohydrates as a main source of energy. But when we start to following LCHF diet,our carbohydrate intake drastically decreases and for energy body has to consume fat.This process is called as Ketosis. So our body converts stored fat into ketones and these ketones makes energy.Hence it helps in weight loss.
In this diet we have to follow strict diet plan of 75% fat 20% protein and 5% carbohydrate.
Though the Keto diet is followed by many people,but not scientifically proven. It has some side effects called Keto flu also.
