Almost every day I get asked about proteins and in general there is so much anxiety about getting enough proteins that I wanted to give you my opinion on it. As long as we eat whole plant foods and we are getting enough calories we are getting enough protein. Some people might want to add some sort of vegan protein powder to their diet but overall most of us can have a very active lifestyle on a whole food plant based diet. There are right and wrong ways to do a vegan diet so as a general rule of thumb make sure you are getting plenty of carbs and plenty of greens and tweeting your fat intake – maybe some coconuts or chia seeds can help with satiety.
